(it makes me want to be with you forever)
The couple's wedding went really well except for a stormy whether in the morning but I guess its God's way of saying, "He blesses the newly weds. (showers of blessing)"

So the day started as early as 4.45am and getting everything else ready which includes the 'sabo gate crashing games' for the groom with a ready prepared 5course menu. The games lasted close to an hour before proceeding to the groom's house for the tea ceremony while nikki (sis's friend) and myself headed with all the barang barangs to church. Setting up and making sure everything was in place before friends and relatives arrived. I was practically soaking with perspiration in my dress. I went barefooted in church after realising walking about preparing wasn't such a good idea after all. Don't worry. I had them on again when people started flowing in to the church.

The clock stroked 11, three quarter of the church was filled, and this was the Que for the wedding ceremony to begin. The opening hymn picked out by a young church choir member, Jonathan was beautifully played and sung as the flower girl, paige boy, maid of honor and father of the bride and bride streamed in.

The whole mass lasted for an hour & a half before proceeding to the church canteen for the catered lunch by Pines till one plus.

Keeping to schedule, we proceeded to the bride's house for the 2nd round of the tea ceremony and then it was off to Mandarin Oriental. The 'sisters' were welcomed and greeted by the hotel staff where we received personalized service all the way up to the room. Our room overlooked the magnificent Singapore River. What a breathtaking moment!

Moments later, the new weds arrived and was brought up to their suite. The 'sisters' decided to have a look at the suite and at the same time took the opportunity to rest before getting all busy again for the wedding dinner. However, we ended taking crazy (i mean really CRAZY) pictures with the couple which I'm not going to post.HAHA.

By the time, we had enough pictures taken, we had to freshen up and get ready for the coordination meeting while yours truly had to act fast and meet the wedding planner regarding the surprise video, scrapbook and speech.

Not long after that, Nikki and myself had to settle ourselves down at the reception table to inform the guests of their allocated tables. The ballroom was dressed in black and grey cloths with red roses complementing a pianist playing at one corner during the cocktail reception.

By 8.40pm, the guests were seated at their tables while a montage of the couple was played. We were privileged to have Father Ho to say a prayer before the arrival of the first dish on the menu.

Speaking of food, the guests were served with Oriental's top chef specialities, beginning with the Mandarin Oriental Hors D'oeuvres (Lobster, Sliced Suckling Pig, Roasted Eel, Silver Baits and Jellyfish).
Followed by Double-boiled Shark's Fin Soup with Chicken (soooooo different from the starchy one we usually have!!).
Thirdly, Deep-Fried Pork Ribs glazed with Honey.
Fourthly, Braised Baby Abalone and Dried Fish Maw with Seasonal Vegetables.
Next, Stir-Fried Scallops with XO Sauce and Deep-Fried Yam Pear.
Baked Cod Fish Fillet in Superior Teriyaki Sauce as the 6th dish.
7 - Stewed Duck with Five Treasures
8 - Chilli Crab Mantous (Crispy Mini Buns with Chilli Crabmeat Sauce),
and lastly,
Dessert Combination of Manjari Chocolate Mousse and Jelly with Market Fresh Mango, Passion Fruit Cream, with Crispy Swirl, Raspberry Compote and Pistachio Tuile.

As a whole, everything went perfect. The guests really enjoyed the church mass, complimenting on how beautiful the church was, how funny the priest is, how good the singing and readers were, how good the food was for both lunch and dinner as well as the surprise video yours truly did for the couple. I must say, even after a week later, friends and relatives were still talking about it.
Wedding of the Year huh?

p/s - I've uploaded more of the wedding photos in Facebook (:
