(to love you, in sickness and in health and all the days of my life...)
9th August 2009 is not only the nation's 44th birthday but another happy occasion for YOU family as it was his brother's Wedding.
~
The day started early as the groom and brothers prepared to make their way to the bride's side for the gate crashing. And I must say, the sabo games planned by the bride's jie mei men were 498595748574x more evil as compared to my sister's. So you see how well-treated my jie fu was then!
~
~
First of all, the groom was not only NOT allowed to use the lifts, he was also NOT allowed to use his legs to walk up to the bride's house. So that means, the brothers had to carry him up all the way up to the 13th FLOOR!!! And guess who had to video the proof down...ME! (in a dress and with heels) Now you see why I don't wear dresses and heels. I can't last in those for a day.Eeeekss.
~
The sabo games ranged from writing down love notes to composing and singing a love song as loud as possible for the bride to hear while wearing bikinis, and to eating rubbish food like...
~
Eno with chocolate (as shown below), Bittergourd with extra bitterness (a cream meant for children to prevent them from biting their nails was applied), a slice of ginger with chili padi and wasabi. The boys were in "tears" with lips as red as cherry tomatoes. Poor thing...
~
After finally completing the sabo games and giving the red packet to the jie mei men, the bride was ready to be received by the groom. Family shots were taken as well before heading back to the groom's house for the tea ceremony, makaned and rested a little before making our way to Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace for the Solemnization ceremony which commenced at 2pm.

The groom and brothers were smartly dressed in their Number 1 uniforms and the coolest part during the ceremony was the sword bearers. Well, you don't see them in every wedding, do you.

The Solemnization lasted about an hour followed by a light refreshment at the Church canteen.
Then it was another round of tea ceremony where the bride changed into a light pink Peranakan bagu. Simply chantek!

As we had a schedule to meet, all had to get ready for the Wedding Dinner which was held at Orchid Country Club's Grand Ballroom. The food was not bad except that the fish dish was quite bland. The dinner ended well with a touching performance by one of the couple's good friend who played the Pipa.
~
I missed the sword bearers march-in and Wedding Montage yet again (becoz I was helping out in the reception area)

A few shots taken during the dinner...
