MY VERY FIRST PRAWNING TRIP ~ Having always wanted to go prawning, trishie, yc, YOU♥ and I decided to spend our Friday night at Hai Bin U Enterprise Prawn Fishing. It is located at Bishan No. 603, Sin Ming Avenue. Open 24/7 daily with free parking. ~ The cost was $15 an hour, $25 for 2 hours and $30 for 3 hours. Quite reasonable and the prawns are bigger. And, once you are done with your catch, you can bbq the prawns as the place provides free salt, charcoal, satay sticks and sambal chilli for you to enjoy the fruits of your labour. However, it was already past 12midnight by the time our 3hours was up, so we brought it home with us. ~ My first catch. The bite was continuous but as the place became more pack, the prawns were harder to catch. ~ 2nd...3rd...4th... ~ the prawn I caught for luck? ~ It did help him. A bigger prawn he caught. Luck was indeed on his side or maybe not so ONCE. A stone "ate" the bait. ~ The man sitting beside us caught this giant one. WOW! ~ A BBQed prawn swimming around (hmmm...) ~ patiently waiting for her big catch ~ You'll never find yourself going hungry, as a restaurant is situated beside the prawn fishing ponds. ~ Though we caught only about less than 20 prawns in total but it sure was a fun first time(: penned by ash.
