★shades of black & white.

The day before when I was out shopping with trishie, I saw this adorable blue, red & white checkered shirt which can be worn in two ways (long sleeve/folded up) and so I bought it for lil' J.

As we were about to complete our shopping spree or rather MY shopping spree, I decided to make a last stop at Padini. While browsing through the clothes, I spotted a blouse similar to the one I bought for lil' J and bought it for myself. (oh my, my motherly instincts are showing!)

Conversation between lil' J and me:

While trying on his new shirt,

lil' J: "Same!" (pointing at his shirt and mine)

Me: "That's right! it's the same."

lil' J: "I tell mommy!"

Me: "You're going to tell mommy you have a new shirt?"

He nodded and gave his usual cheeky smile.

I texted his mom about it (and before her reply came in..)

lil' J asked as he pointed on the front compartment of his bag while keeping the shirt in his bag: "What's inside?"

I replied, "I don't know..why don't you open it to see."

He unzipped the front compartment of his bag and I saw a purple and pink metal container consisting of chocolates and a container of cookies.

Me: "Wow, how come you brought so many things to school?"

lil' J: "Mommy give me."

Then a reply came in,

lil' J's Mom: lil' J has a present for you, it's purple and it's in his bag.

Me as I asked lil' J: "Is this for me?" (pointing to the purple container)

lil' J: "Noo, it's mine." (protecting it and putting it back into his bag)

I replied his Mom: "Hahaha..he says it's his now."

I asked lil' J again but in a different approach: "Mommy said you have a present for me?"

lil J nodded and with his cheeky smile, he unzipped his bag, took out the purple container and passed it to me. Sat on my lap, hugged me and gave me kiss on the cheek.♥ xoxo.
