What A Start To Uni Life ~ A second disappointment (since orientation day) occurred on my supposedly first lecture & tutorial for the week. I reached the lecture hall at about 2.10pm. Shucks I'm late I thought as I walked in my fastest speed. Opened the door to see no sign of the lecturer. I sighed with a relief and caught my breath while I took a seat. As I got myself organised, someone tapped my shoulder, I turned and saw a familiar face - the sweet girl, Jac I met during orientation. Didn't expect her to be in the same class as me because she's pursing a different degree course. Any oh how, I moved up to where she was sitting and we started talking about our modules, timetable and other misc. That was when I realized that my Tuesday's night class (ridiculous timing of 7pm - 10pm) has a day class on Thursdays (2pm - 5pm). Shouldn't the school assign me to day classes instead of night classes since I'm a full-time student and not a part-time student unless it clashes with another module. ~ 2.30pm, still no sign of our lecturer. So one of our classmates called the office to check. Ten minutes later, one of the staff came and said there isn't any class today, it has been changed to Friday. ~ (.......SPEECHLESS) A moment of anger and frustration. ~ Shouldn't the lecturer put an announcement on Blackboard or send a mass text message to the students to inform of the change? What an impression of the school! Heading to the office, it was packed with students having the same problem - clash of modules on Friday. A while later, it was our turn. Jac was settling her modules & e-mail. So, I took the chance to ask if I could do a change for my Tuesdays night classes to Thursday day class. After the big whooha, both of us realized that we were going to be in the same class for all our modules. Yuppies(: ~ Hopefully the days in uni will be better and nothing of such will happen again. penned by ash.
