(lost and sad) I just received a phone call from you saying that you'll be having a gathering in about 2-3 weeks time, and would like the the whole FAMILY to attend, especially me after constantly reminding my mom to tell me to go when I passed the phone to her. Later finding out, it could be your last birthday with us, I was shocked. (STILL AM!) Having thought that your op you had last year was a successful one, not realising your condition had worsened months later, and I was kept a dark. I'm lost for words :( "Granddad, please don't go so soon. JUST NOT YET PLEASE!? I'm begging you. Please spend a little more with mama, your daughters, your grandchildren, and ME!"  All I can do now is spend more time with you, and pray that you'll stay longer here on earth. penned by ash.
