Korean Style-Ddukboki Spicy Rice Cake..OH SO MAT I-NUM! ~ Preparing the necessary ingredients needed. (left to right) salt, hot sauce, sugar, sesame oil, soya sauce  ~ (left to right) Korean rice cake, sliced fish cakes, sliced carrots, cabbage  ~ Once everything is prepared, the cooking begins... ~ STEP 1: Pour 2 cups of hot water  ~ STEP 2: 1 tsp of soya sauce  ~ STEP 3: 1 tsp of sesame oil  ~ STEP 4: 1/2 tsp of salt  ~ STEP 5: 1/2 tsp of sugar  ~ STEP 6: Pour the Hot Sauce in  ~ STEP 7: Stir before adding the rice cake (1/2kg)  ~ STEP 8: Wait for it to simmer by covering it  ~ STEP 9: Add about 1/2 tbsp of copped garlic  ~ STEP 10: Add chili powder for that extra AHEM!  ~ STEP 11: When the rice cake softens, add the sliced carrots and fish cakes  ~  ~ STEP 12: 1 bowl of cabbage to be added last for it to be crunchy  ~ STEP 13: Stir it and mix it well  ~ STEP 14: TADA! SERIOUS, NOT SO SERIOUS? ~ A call came in from my cousin last Monday regarding on my test results. She said I have a polyp tissue in my gallbladder. (A gallbladder polyp is actually a growth in the wall of the gallbladder) She also found stones in my kidneys size of sand and advised me to drink plenty of water if not I'm going to have problems and sufferings if the stones grows bigger. Adding on, the discomfort in the front could be due to me having irritable bowel syndrome. She prescribed medication for me to consume for about a month to see if it helps but if I still have the same discomfort, then I would have to go for Colonoscopy to have a clearer examination of my intestines. Everything's Gonna Be A..OKAY! Day 1: A very early morning op. Cramp ward though a two bedded room. She's doing fine. Very tired and drowsy. Visitors (in-laws and friends). Complains very thirsty. Mom and I the "personal nurse". Doctor came to check on her. Saw a new born baby (warm smile) ~ Day 2: Up early again and takes medication. Prepares to head down to the hospital. Time check 8.47am. Nurses got her wiped and changed. She's sitting up and trying to move her legs which is good (in fact really good considering its only the 2nd day) Still looking really tired. Felt nausea when she drank sips of water. Visitors in, visitors out. Nurses brought in porridge for her but she only manage to consume 5 spoon full. Looking really tired. Pray for speedy recovery! ~ Day 3: 5.45am I suffered bad cramps only to discover none other than "it's a girls thing" so skipping church and unable to head down to the hospital with my parents. Anyhow, over texts from my mom who was already at the hospital said that they got to shower her and all. However, mom isn't feeling too good herself so she came back home and I'll be going over to the hospital soon for my "shift". Received news from the doctor saying that she can be discharged tomorrow(: penned by ash.

KOREANA ~ Having had to run errands for work purposes with cubby (trishie) at International Plaza, I thought of the giant doughnut that I would usually get during my internship days but sadly they are not longer there. I had finally gone for my checkup after much nagging from YOU♥ and friends Praise the Lord that I'm fine. However, somehow the pain I've been uncomfortably experiencing must be there for a reason so I had to go through a CT scan for further checks. The results will be out next week. Pray that they can find the cause of it but hopefully nothing that serious. Injected with 2 needles on both wrists but thankfully only one stayed in my skin but then again no thanks in going through it another time even though I'm not afraid of injections. I just didn't feel comfortable having it injected into me for 20minutes throughout the scan. Leaving me with blueblacks even till today. Pray for me I'll receive good news(: penned by ash.

WGM GAGA! ~ Dearest cubby (trishie) introduced this popular Korean reality variety show, We Got Married (우리 결혼했어요) to me and I've been addicted ever since. WGM for short was first broadcast in 2008 where Korean celebrities would be paired up to show what life would be like if they were really married. Hence, each week couples would be assigned missions to be completed with candid interviews of the participants to reveal their thoughts and feelings experienced. Among the couples, trishie's and my favourite couple were Kim Hyun Joong & Hwangbo because they are the funniest couple and really competitive as compared to the rest. You should watch it too! I have found my new "eye candy", k.h.j (finding myself going back to secondary school days where you go gaga over an artist.goodness) Noticed him when Boys Over Flowers aired last year but I was a very busy during that period so I missed it. ~  ~  ~   ~ To watch just episodes of Kim Hyun Joong & Hwangbo, it starts from Episode 9 - 38. My favourite episode is Episode 26 where he made up for Hwangbo's birthday because he had other filming and events to do on her birthday. He was so sweet. De Adventure Book ~ It all started with us watching UP on DVD last Sunday when YOU♥ decided that we should have/make our very own Adventure Book too. I was kinda reluctant at first NOT because I do not want to have 'this adventure' with him in it BUT because I am currently low on cash. Eekks~ ~ HOWEVER, having heard that Made with Love @Plaza Singapura has extended their shop! And since the girls and I had some spare time before our movie, we popped by to have a look (hoping that I would not spend on anything when I browse through the shop). Was doing so well UNTILLLL...I picked up this packet of clear stickers which was extremely excellent for the Adventure Book and it only cost $5.95 (+ 10% off if I use my membership card). BAM~ spent. ~  ~ this 12x12 paper caught my eye would be great for the Adventure Book as well  ~ Then again, sometimes things do not turn out as bad as you think it will. While paying at the counter, I received a Free Membership Welcome Gift - American Crafts Page Kit which contains, 8 12x12 papers 59 Thickers 6 Journaling Stickers 3 Flair Badges 3 Ribbons (4ft each) 2 12x12 cardstock sheets 6 4.5x6.5 photo mounts ~  ~  ~ 好开心哦! penned by ash.

Who Are You?   ~  ~ A pleasant outing with 8ight which turned out to be only four then three who were able to make it. Nonetheless, it was still a good meet up though I had much going through my mind. Still pretty worried for my admission to a good university and the job that I'll be starting tomorrow happens to be a slight mistake because it is not relevant to what I've been studying and would not add on to making my resume look better. Sighs. ~ Anyhow, putting that aside. We lunched at Pizza Hut (privileged to be a student still - student meals), shopped for awhile (cotton on, diaso, made with love. Another good thing to be a member of made with love. Got a free welcome gift. Will post it in my next post. Smiles) before watching Alice in Wonderland. Uncertainties... major headache over which uni to go. restrictions here and there. Firstly, with grades not good enough to enter a local U, despite a 3 point something GPA. Secondly, if only I was maybe 3 or 4 years younger, considering applying for NTU or SMU would be in my list (you know my parents aren't getting any younger and if i were to apply for a 3 to 4 years course, by the time I were to graduate, it would be too late to support my parents. Lastly, my parents do not have the money to send me overseas to further my studies (do you know how extremely expensive it cost right now!!!). Choices left, 1. Curtin University of Technology (Singapore) 2. Kaplan 3. SIM However.... Firstly, I'm still waiting for news over at Curtin about the approval of the new courses which I want, hence leaving me lost because I have not applied for any uni. Gulp~ Secondly, Kaplan has the course that I am very interested in but Curtin is a more internationally recognised business university. And Lastly, SIM only offers Bachelor in Marketing which is a 3years course (so it makes no difference in applying for NTU or SMU), and Higher Diploma in Hospitality which is out of my list. (my superman) Good Old Traditional Taiwanese Porridge @Goodwood Park Hotel It's been years since I last went to Goodwood Park Hotel to dine, say 10 to 13 years ago? By the way, their Durian Season is on now, so better grab those durian puffs soon..been hearing that Goodwood is famous for that. Anyway, Jie Fu planned to treat the family to the tasty traditional Taiwanese Porrige @Goodwood Park Hotel Coffee Lounge. I love the interior of the hotel.
