23.12.2004 - 03.12.2010 ~ His lil' urn.  ~ As most of you have heard, Pepper did not pull through. His op was supposedly to be at 12noon but it got pushed back to 3.45pm. Exactly at 3.45pm, suddenly out of no where, it started to rain heavily with strong winds over at our side. Was this a bad sign I wondered? ~ A while later, we received a phone call from the doctor. He announced the bad news that they found two masses. One on Pepper's intestines and the other on his pancreas. According to the doctor, they managed to remove the mass on the intestine but could not for the one on Pepper's pancreas. With this, it left us having to make a choice out of the three given to us. ~ 1. To cut part of his pancreas but the risk was high, and because the pancreas is an important organ, it could like to further complications such as diabetes, heart attack, etc. Much worse than the situation Pepper currently is. 2. Sew him up and let him continue living till his very last day but he will be in pain 3. Put him to sleep ~ Painfully and saddened, we picked option 3. I know its for the better and we must not be selfish owners but not having him around hurts badly. We headed down to Mt. Pleasant to see Pepper for the last time in a private room. We all shed (except dad but it left him with a heavy heart) When we reached home, I could not bring myself to tell my maid about Pepper, and when dad told her, her eyes welled up with tears. So you see how Pepper has impacted each of our lives despite his irritating barks, he has brought us joy and fun into our lives especially with his funny actions. Without him, our lives will be dull and boring. I'll miss everything about him.  I'll miss saying, "HI PEPPER!, "GOODNIGHT PEPPER!". Sigh. ~ p/s - Its gonna be a quiet X'mas this year :( penned by ash.
