NewExcitingXperiences ~ Am sure every Singaporean has heard about the new mall at Serangoon. Looks like NEX is going to be my new hangout place. The new mall has more than 400 shops, an open roof garden (you can bring your pet dog too), and there's even a library! ~ What you can find at NEX, FairPrice Xtra (24-hrs) Cold Storage Food Junction Courts Shaw Theatres Party World KTV RE&S Virtualand Food Republic Challenger Isetan Din Tai Fung Esprit Dian Xiao Er SSF Creative Lifestyle Hub Body Shop Charles & Keith Pet Safari Starbucks 7-11 Old Chunky Disney M1 Singtel Starhub Maybank Comic Connection Popular (finally, I don't have to travel all the way to amk or j8) Wendys Barcelos Freshness Burger, and the list goes on. ~ I'm so glad that there's a bubble tea outlet, "Drink Tea 水研社" (as shown in the picture below) and it has been my fav. ever since.  Drink Tea 水研社 was established in Taiwan in 2006, with more than 30 years of professional experience in wholesale tea business. ~ Apparently, Drink Tea 水研社 can be found not only at NEX but at its first branch at Bedok. What’s different and special about this bubble tea is its pink pearls! The signature pink pearls are made from Roselle Plant extract. Having done some research, it is said that the Roselle plant has certain medical qualities, which are used as a treatment to reduce hypertension and fatigue. Hmmm...but I doubt those pink pearls have any though. Nevertheless, its still the best (to me that is). The pearls are chewier and softer. It is also has a light taste and not as heaty as compared to KOI and Gong-cha. ~ Other than allowing you to choose your sugar level, you can choose the ice level (normal ice, less ice, no ice) for the same price. So, if you happen to drop by NEX, don't forget to get yourself a cup of bubble tea at Drink Tea 水研社, located at B2-52! (: ~ Don't know what to try? Here's some recommendations: 1. Roast Milk Tea (25%) 2. Oolong Milk Tea with pearls (25%) penned by ash.
